Another win for the Students! We beat Sliema Wanderers 13-1.

In a match that saw the debuts of Zack Cocker and Juninho, UM Futsal managed to score 13 goals to Sliema’ 1.

The starting line-up included club captain 20 Dylan Cacciattolo as goalkeeper, alongside 4 Aaron Montebello, 7 Steven Camilleri, 10 Gia Nikvashvili, 11 Andre Cachia. The rest of the squad was made up of goalkeepers 1 Ryan Scerri and 22 Zack Cocker, together with 5 Zvezdan Vuković, 6 Guilherme, 8 Melvin Borg, 15 Stefan Camilleri, 17 Leo Muscat, 21 Paul Scerri, 47 Juninho. For this match, coach David Bobokhidze opted to give some rest to Kauê and Cleaven Portelli.

Goals came from a host of various players, which include Andre Cachia, Aaron Montebello, Leo Muscat, and last but not least, Juninho. The Brazilian, full name Raimundo Nonato da Silva Júnior, was clinical in his finishing, scoring four goals.

As mentioned, Cacciattolo started in the goal posts, and the match also managed to see some of Ryan Scerri’s emerging talent. Finally, coach Bobokhidze also enlisted the help of Zack Cocker, for his first minutes sharing UM Futsal’s goalkeeping duties, having been called back from his loan from Marsascala.

Our players managed the result very well, especially when considering that opponents included Brazilian futsal veteran Wallagol and former international footballer Kevin Sammut, who was also named Maltese Footballer of the Year during his colourful career.
