Luxol St Andrew’s secured their sixth consecutive Enemed Futsal League title by defeating the University of Malta 4-3 in extra time. Despite dominating the first game 4-1 earlier in the week, Luxol faced a tougher opponent in the final, with the University team forcing extra time through a dramatic equalizer. Key goals from Andre Ciancio and Maicon in extra time ensured Luxol’s victory.
The final match between UM Futsal and Luxol St. Andrews was a thrilling contest. Juninho opened the scoring for us, but Luxol equalized before halftime. Despite falling behind after the break, we fought back to force extra time through a deflected goal by Steven Camilleri. Luxol regained control in extra time with goals from Andre Ciancio and Maicon. Nonato pulled one back late on, but Luxol held on to win. Their victory marked another title, celebrated with a trophy presentation by Futsal Malta.
University of Malta ACJ Group received players, staff and committee, received a medal for their participation throughout the season. President Andrea Varrazzo thanked the fans who followed the team throughout the months.
